50th Multiple Districts 308 Lions Convention!
Date: 19-22th April 2012
Venue: Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia
It was 4 Days & 3 Nights
of Awards, City Tours, Fellowship, Bonding & Rekindling of Old Friendships
& Establishing New Ones between Lions from East & West Malaysia,
Singapore and Brunei at “Cat City” in the “Land of the Hornbills”. The 50th MD
308 Lions Convention hosted by District 308 A2 in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia
from 19-22 April 2012, was definitely one of the most memorable of Young and
Senior Lions!
The warmth, the sincerity, the
joyous bursts of laughter and rich sharing of experiences, wisdom and
testimonies were treasures that have been captured in photographs and videos
but more importantly, recorded in the hearts of all those who attended.
Sungai Buloh Lions were led
by President Edward Ho Labrooy comprising a team of seven to this Convention.
They included Incoming President Vincent Ho, Club Treasure PP Koh Dat Heng, PP
Hai Ah Hong, PP Andrew Ng, PP Patricia Wong, Ln Bobby Yip and Ln Ryan Wong.
At the District Convention,
Lions Club of Sungai Buloh swept FIVE (5) important District Awards in key
categories including Best Club Bulletin & E- Bulletin, Outstanding Service
Activity Award, Outstanding Club President (President Edward Ho), Outstanding
Club Secretary (Annie Tan) and Outstanding Club Treasurer (PP Koh Dat Heng).
Due to the fact that our Club
still lacked of membership grows this term, we missed the TOP CLUB Award.
However, we have set our sights on working on boosting the quality and quantity
of our Members for the coming fiscal years. So, it's going to be another
interesting year ahead!!!
